A little about Elise

I've been an athlete my entire life, I was blessed with fitness minded parents that got us (my brother and I) in sports at a young age. I swam competitively from about ages 8-18, but also played basketball, soccer, volleyball was a gymnast  and eventually became a cheerleader, which ironically is the sport I ended up doing in college (the swim burn-out/injury was real).
I think I competed so much at a young age that I spend most of my 20s doing the exact opposite, I took a 17 year hiatus from the pool but finally returned in 2020, in fact I took up many sports again in 2020. I am sure a global pandemic had nothing to do with it (ha!). I completed my first triathlon in 2021, at TriFest in Arkansas, as well as my first ever MTB race; Heartbreaker at Creve Coeur. In 2022, I won 4 MTB Races, and completed (barely) Augusta Ironman 70.3. In 2023 I placed in every MTB race I raced, got 2nd in the Big Sugar MTB 20K, and 1st in the Oly Aquabike at TriFest in Arkansas.

2024 is all about MTB for James and I, we are excited to give Cheq 40 a try!

For me it is less about competing and more about fun, fitness and longevity! I love riding bikes and being outside, being around like-minded people, pushing myself and staying active!
