A little about Tommy
Hi my name is Tommy Domian, I am one of the younger members of Rockr Racing, being an avid cross country runner in High school, I laid the foundation of my athletic drive and began competing in half marathons across the midwest at 16. One day my senior year of high school, I randomly committed to compete in a 70.3 Ironman. Having not picked up a bike in 8 years, nor knowing how to freestyle swim, I worked with a local coach, Curtis Brooks. Curtis showed me the ropes of a triathlon. At the 2019 Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga, I learned I was the youngest athlete in the field at 18 years old. Fueling my drive I then committed to my first full Ironman - Ironman Louisville, then two weeks later, Ironman Florida. Being the youngest person at both of those (still 18 yrs) triathlons became a part of my blood. All of those races qualified me for All World Athlete - Silver and landed me a spot at the 2021 Ironman World Championships in St. George, Utah.
While I was in college competing in triathlons, I simultaneously raced in the Little 500, a unique cycling event at Indiana University. 33 highly competitive teams race on single speed bikes on a cinder track. After graduation, I decided to coach the mens and womens team I founded called Novus Cycling. Outside of swimming, biking, and running, I enjoy traveling, backpacking, and spending time with family. |
